Part Addams Family, part Sherlock Holmes, this new series of hair-raisingmystery stories will have young sleuths hooked from the outset. In this first instalment, Sedgwick introduces us to the ghoulish Otherhand family and the eccentric goings-on of their castle home. Narrated in the first person by Edgar –pet Raven detective extraordinaire – the tone is appealingly light and accessible, Williamson’s creepy illustrations adding just the right measure of expression and humour. Highly recommended.
