On Tuesday 2nd March at 11.30 a Fair Trade launch was held in Carrick-on-Suir Library as a part of Fair Trade Fortnight. Carrick-on-Suir is also celebrating being accepted as a Fair Trade Town. Some children from the Gaelscoil entertained with songs as music, Fair Trade refreshments were enjoyed by a large crowd afterwards. The entertainment was excellent and enjoyed by all. Fair Trade organiser have put in a lot of work over the last few years to make Carrick-on-Suir a Fair Trade town. Also on disply in the library for the week are Fair Trade projects done by children from the Gaelscoil.
